Linnea Lenkus started her career first in front of the camera as a fashion model in L.A. and Europe 30 years ago modeling for such magazines as Elle, Freundin & Vogue.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) which consequently helps her to tap into the human connection in her sessions.
From there she headed into a career as a commercial photographer
and has photographed ads, celebrity portraits, and lifestyle images for many ad agencies, companies & magazines.
She is represented by the ubiquitous and prestigious stock agency, Stone, which is a Getty Images subsidiary.
In 1998 she decided to switch her path and move to the professional portrait photography world where her commercial lighting techniques and skills have translated well in elegant and sophisticated studio photography that have made her photo studios so popular. She opened a portrait studio in Pasadena in 1998. In 2004 she opened a second portrait studio in Long Beach.
Linnea and her husband of 20 years are the proud parents of a precocious 10 year old son, Dexter,
and exuberant 8 year old twins, Ava & Maxwell.
When Linnea is not behind a camera she is with her children attending swim classes, soccer practices, dance and art classes and visiting the many playgrounds and beaches of L.A.

This quote aptly describes this photographer:
" The truly creative mind in any field is
no more than this:
A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive.
To him... a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise,
a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy,
a friend is a lover, a lover is a god,
and failure is death.
Add to this cruelly delicate organism
the overpowering necessity
to create, create, create --
so that without the creating of
music or poetry or books or buildings or
something of meaning,
his very breath is cut off from him.
He must create, must pour out creation.
By some strange, unknown, inward urgency
he is not really alive unless he is creating. "
-Pearl S. Buck
